Downtown, Uptown and the towers along the Tollway carry hundreds or thousands of dollars of value per square foot. The median parcel, usually a house lot, carries about $37. Big-box stores, warehouses and their parking carry far less than their size suggests, and half the county's parcel land holds just 2% of its value: floodplain, parks, farmland and industrial yards.

DCAD 2026 certified roll: total market value of land and improvements, divided by each parcel's mapped area. Condo units are summed onto their building; exempt property is included at its appraised value; business equipment and inventory are left out. Zoomed out, the county is summed on a 1,000 ft grid (total value over total parcel land in each cell); zoom in for parcels. A few parcels look extreme where DCAD draws a large account on a small piece of land. Values are appraisals for 1 January 2026, not sale prices. · geopen.io
