Statewide $5,246/acre (+6.02% YoY), but the range runs 18.6x — $630/acre in Far West Texas, the only region falling (-7.89%), to $11,698 on the Gulf Coast. Volume runs opposite to price: West Texas sold 70,951 acres over 526 sales; the Gulf Coast 17,734 over 530. Based on reported sales, not listings; collected since 1966; tracts of 10 acres or less excluded. County-to-region assignment was read from TRERC's published region maps (they publish no shapefile or county list) and verified county-by-county.
