Dallas Libraries — Hours Under the FY 2026-27 Proposed Budget
Every Dallas Public Library location, coloured by what the City Manager's FY 2026-27 proposed budget does to its hours. 5 branches are named flagships and gain extended hours and enhanced services; 23 neighbourhood branches get 'streamlined operating hours' under a model that eliminates 59 positions (-$2,641,335). Arcadia Park is singled out for a further restructure cutting four positions in FY 2026-27 and ten by FY 2027-28. Nothing closes. The city's stated goal is that every resident be within a 15-minute drive of a library with expanded hours — this map is where those five are. Budget released 2026-08-07; council votes September 16.
